At The Community Church in Ada, we are changing our mental model of what it means to “do mission work.” Mission most often becomes a church writing a check to a charitable organization, or a “professional missionary”, and considering it’s job done. We believe that God is doing things all around us. In our neighborhoods, where we work, where we socialize and spend our time. And God is asking us to partner with God to make things whole and healthy in those places. We encourage our members to follow God in whatever that mission might be, and we offer our members small grants if they require resources to do this work.
